Mimco has officially launched a personalisation service.
As first reported in Ragtrader's June edition, the accessories retailer has been planning an in-store monogramming strategy.
The launch coincides with the opening of a new Melbourne flagship store, with the existing Chadstone site undergoing a complete refurbishment.
Monogramming will be available in-store with a full-time embosser personalising a selection of leather goods including bags, wallets, pouches, keyrings, travel items and tech accessories for $14.95.
Designed in collaboration with the team at design office, the new Melbourne flagship measures at 110sqm.
The store features luxury materials including stonewalls and columns from Italy, along with a range of multi-sensory experiences and immersive technologies.
Mimco continues its partnership with Telstra to bring the Mimco Touch Table to its hometown.
The MultiTacion 55” multi-touch screen is a high-resolution display screen incorporating Infrared LEDS that will allow customers to interact with unique content including style advice and product information.
The flagship also features a 360-degree halo ring with seamless content projection that will launch with a two-part film directed by Gracie Otto.
Mimco's newly appointed MD Sarah Rovis said the store is reflective of Mimco's brand essence.
“Following the successful launch of MIMCO’s Pitt St flagship in November last year, we are delighted to offer a new store concept in the Melbourne market, particularly in the fashion destination of Melbourne’s South-East.
"Our Melbourne flagship store is especially designed to cater to the changing needs of our customer with a focus on personalisation and interactive technology.
"I am thrilled that the flagship launch coincides with my new appointment, it marks what I hope will be an exciting new chapter for Australia’s most iconic accessory brand.”
To celebrate the launch of its new Melbourne flagship, Mimco will host a weekend of special activity for loyalty members including a limited edition gift with purchase.
Mimco, part of the Country Road Group, boasts over 120 doors across Australia, New Zealand and South Africa including David Jones, Myer and its online store.
