New Zealand-born jeweller Michael Hill has opened its first flagship in South Australia, in Adelaide’s Rundle Mall.

The single-storey boutique has been completely refurbished, including new materials and finishes, and a dedicated focus on the jeweller’s bridal offering.

This includes refreshed green onyx branding and sensory elements, including a custom scent inspired by the brand’s birthplace.

Michael Hill’s new boutique has been designed to match the brand’s philosophy of ‘A Moment to Discover’.

According to the jeweller, store experience has been at the centre of the Michael Hill brand since its very first store opened in Whangarei in 1979.

To mark the opening, Michael Hill will host an activation this weekend, with visitors being offered complimentary Haigh’s chocolates. Brilliance by Michael Hill members will also receive 15 per cent off their first in-store purchase.

The transformation comes as the jeweller continues its partnership with international celebrity Miranda Kerr, who represents the brand as ambassador.

This adds to around 287 stores owned by the Michael Hill group, also including its Bevilles brand which the jeweller snapped up in 2023.

At the end of FY25, the Michael Hill brand had 123 stores in Australia, 45 in New Zealand and 82 in Canada. Bevilles had 37 stores across Australia by FY25 end.
