Brazilian footwear brand Melissa shoes will open its doors to a gallery-style M Dreams flagship store in Melbourne's Westfield Doncaster.
The flagship will be Melissa's largest Australian retail space to date and will feature its latest collection as well as collaborations with renowned international designers such as Vivienne Westwood.
The brand has also confirmed that the Doncaster opening is the second of three new stores to open over the next six months.
Edge Concepts senior designer Evan Box believes that consumers will be thrilled with the brand's approach to creating a retail experience.
“Designing a store concept for M DREAMS is always such an exciting process!
“Doncaster is the fourth store that we've created for the brand and we love their
no cookie-cutter approach.
“Each store is completely different, with its own style and personality.”
Due to a larger space the store will feature the addition of expansive shapes and cubes as installations that will aim to maximise visual appeal.
Melissa shoes launched its original jelly sandal in 1979 made from a patented plastic material called MELFLEX©; a type of PVC that is hypoallergenic and non-toxic.
It currently operates four stores in Australia.
M Dreams will launch in Westfield Doncaster in mid-November.
