The Festival took place in Melbourne from March 28 to 29 at the Hyatt Place, with over 150 brands in a range of categories from activewear and intimates to jewellery and swimwear.
 
Brands included Ugg Australia, Jasmine Alexa, Embella Jewellery, Malkin and Toad. 
 
The Melbourne Retail Festival partnered with The Masters Institute of Creative Education (MICE) as an official partner for its inaugural launch.
 
Bachelor of Fashion Business students were given the opportunity to bring to light their talent through an interactive runway, exhibiting their collections throughout the two day event.
 
Special appearances included the likes of industry stalwarts Mel Nixon, celebrity stylist Jamie Azzopardi, fashion director Emily Edwards, and presenter and model, Danielle Collis.
 
The event’s seminars and educational series offered attendees insights and learning into how to shoot a successful campaign, marketing and PR for brands on budgets, how to ‘do’ social media, work with social influencers and more.
