Melbourne-based jewellery brand S-kin Studio has revealed the results of its second collaboration collection with Netherlands visual artist and content creator Hegia de Boer. 

The La Femme collection launched on June 30 2021 and generated a 437% sales increase for the brand, compared to a normal collection launch day. 

Meanwhile, traffic to the website increased by 59% compared to a regular launch. 

The strong sales of the La Femme collection follow the performance of the first S-kin Studio x Hegia de Boer range, Fleur, which saw sales double on launch day compared to a normal collection launch. 

The La Femme collection features nine pieces featuring black onyx, pearls and gold fill and is ethically made in India. 

Speaking on the inspiration for the collection, de Boer said she was inspired by pop-culture characters. 

"The idea for this collection actually comes from my own struggle with epic mood swings. 

"I've met so many interesting women in my life and everyone's unique personalities have always fascinated me. 

"Although we can be paradoxical and are multi-faceted sometimes, that's what makes us interesting and I'm so happy to be born as a woman.

"I wanted to dedicate this collection to the duality that we all have inside of us and create something that showed this contrast in a striking yet beautiful way.

"I'm also hugely influenced by movies and video game heroines.

"There are so many characters playing in my head and that's why each piece is named after one of these characters," she said. 

The La Femme collection is available now and retails for between $129 and $298.
