City Chic Collective Limited has confirmed that Megan Quinn has retired from its board, effective August 28, 2025.

Quinn was both a non-executive director and chair of the People, Culture and Remuneration Committee. She has been part of the City Chic board since October 2012.

She has a storied history across the global fashion landscape, including as co-founder and creative director of Net-A-Porter. She also held creative strategy roles at Harrods, Design Ministry, Conde Nast and Mojo in London across the late 1980s, 90s and early noughties.

In the 2010s, Quinn relocated to Australia and took on roles across banking, business and finance, including as a consultant for Westpac and a non-executive director at several others.

According to City Chic, Quinn had confirmed her desire to step down after her last re-election.

“On behalf of the board, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Megan for her outstanding service and dedication over many years,” City Chic chair Michael Kay said.

“She has played an important role in guiding the company through its evolution from a multi-brand business into the focused organisation we are today.” City Chic has downsized from a multi-brand business with businesses across Europe and the United States, divesting from its overseas ventures to focus on the core City Chic retail business.

"Throughout a number of tumultuous years, Megan has been a steady and thoughtful presence in the boardroom,” Kay added. “Her sound judgement, collaborative approach and unwavering support have helped steer the Company through complex challenges and significant change.”

City Chic CEO and MD Phil Ryan also shared his gratitude to Quinn: "It has been a privilege to work alongside Megan, whose creative vision and sharp eye for detail have helped define our brand and elevate our market presence. Her unique ability to blend design flair with commercial insight has strengthened our customer connection and left a lasting mark on our product and brand strategy.

“She has been a huge part of our turnaround in the last 12 months and leaves the business in a good position and on the path to profitability."

The board confirmed it will not immediately appoint a replacement for Quinn. Instead, it will take the “necessary time to identify and select the right candidate whose skills, experience and values align with the company’s strategic direction and culture.

Natalie McLean has been appointed as chair of the People, Culture and Remuneration Committee. McLean is currently a director and the CEO of Cotton On Group, and a director of the Cotton On Foundation.

She has held other senior roles at Giordano and Rip Curl.
