Jewellery label Medley has introduced complementary engraving as part of its AW21 launch.

Medley's new 'Engravables' collection offers customers complimentary engraving of initials to a full name or word up to seven letters.

The engraving is done locally in the brand's hometown of Brisbane using a state-of-the-art laser engraving machine.

Speaking to Ragtrader, Michael Hill CEO Daniel Bracken said that Medley's mission is to help Australians build an 'essentials' jewellery collection, the latest range of which helps them do that.

"Medley is built on the principles of building an essentials wardrobe and your ability to curate that wardrobe however you like.

"There is absolutely a fashion element to it and there's a strong focus on great staples.

"More importantly, it's built on the philosophy that you can mix and match and personalise how you want to wear the brand," he said.

Medley's engraving service comes as retailers capitalise on the power of personalisation, with the eTailer's service joining the likes of Seed's personalisation station in its Chadstone flagship and monogramming at Accent Group's Platypus stores.

According to a Deloitte Consulting report, one in five consumers are willing to pay more for personalised products.

The 24-piece Engravables collection spans earrings, bracelets and necklaces with engravable pendants across gold plated, rose gold plated and sterling silver materials.

It is available on the Medley website now and retails for between $59 to $299.
