High-end Italian fashion brand Max Mara has just opened a new store at Chadstone shopping centre in Melbourne.
This brings the brand’s total store count in Australia to six, matched with an extra store in New Zealand. Globally, Max Mara has over 470 stores according to its website store directory.
The new store’s facade is crafted in cocciopesto, a material of Mediterranean culture reimagined through a modern lens, done under the hand of a Reggio Emilia–based atelier, Max Mara’s born-city.
Inside, the colour palette covers Calacatta Gold marble and caramel peach-tinted glass, matched with camel fabrics featured in the living areas.
According to Max Mara, the store will feature a range of the brand’s coats, including the ‘101801’, an oversized, soft kimono-sleeve, notched-lapel, double-breasted coat; and the ‘Teddy Bear’, which includes unique faux fur of pure camel hair on a base of silk.
Alongside this, the store will stock Max Mara’s latest collections and accessories, including a selection from its Resort 2026.
Max Mara was founded in 1951 by the late Achille Maramotti.
