Maticevski is the chosen one

 

Toni Maticevski has been chosen to play a pivotal role in the future of Fashion Week.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2016 will move to the resort schedule for the first time in its 21 year history.

Maticevski has been selected to open the first resort instalment on Sunday, May 15.

The designer will showcase his collection as part of the Mercedes-Benz Presents series.

"I am honoured and excited to have my vision and Resort '17 Collection presented by Mercedes-Benz," he said.

Maticevski joins a prestigious list of Mercedes-Benz Presents designers in Australia including; Kym Ellery, Carla Zampatti, Easton Pearson & Johanna Johnson.

On the global stage, Maticevski joins the likes of Carolina Herrera, Derk Lam, Herve Leger by Max Azria, Narciso Rodriguez and Mattjis Van Bergen.

The Mercedes-Benz and Maticevski partnership extends to an integrated consumer activation in the 'Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge' at Carriageworks.

The event will take place at Carriageworks (Sydney) from May 15 to 20.
