The co-CEO of Munro Footwear Group, Marcus Bartlett, has stepped down from his role after eight years with the company.

Fellow CEO Jay Munro will remain at the helm.

Munro Footwear is a group company managing brands and retailers such as The Trybe, Mathers, Diana Ferrari and Rockport.

Chief executive Munro said Bartlett’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the company, and thanked him for his significant contribution.

The company also confirmed the news in a LinkedIn post, commending Bartlett on his service.

"Since joining the business in 2017, Marcus Bartlett has played a pivotal role in leading MFG’s transformation agenda,” Munro Footwear shared. “As the group enters a new phase of optimisation and consolidation, this marks a natural point for a leadership transition.”

Bartlett shared his thanks to the Munro family – which also includes founders Graeme and Kerrie, and their three sons Jay, Lee and Bill – for their trust and support.

“Thank you to Grant Hancock and Brodie Arnhold for your guidance at board level,” Bartlett added.

“And finally, a huge thanks to the many amazing team members I’ve been fortunate to work with across MFG stores, DC and support centre - very grateful for all of your hard work and support. Wishing you every success.”

Bartlett joined Munro in 2017 as chief financial officer. He was shifted to chief operating officer in 2021, and became co-CEO in 2022. His prior roles covered finance at companies such as Pitcher Partners, PwC and Fosters Group.
