Nadia Jones has been appointed as creative director of Nique, producing her first campaign for the edgy fashion brand.
The move marks her departure as Marcs creative director, where she managed collections and campaigns across 32 stores and 75 concessions in David Jones and Myer.
Jones has also worked in the UK and worked globally with China, Northern Europe, Russia and the Middle East.
In the UK, she was creative director of Oasis, which saw the brand globally expand from 50 to 650 stores.
Jones has also worked with some of the biggest brands in the fashion world, including Lane Crawford, Richard Nicoll, Mary Portas at House of Fraser, LK Bennett and Next.
The latest campaign for Nique (pictured) was shot against the backdrop of Sydney’s world-heritage listed Cockatoo Island.
Lensed by Max Doyle, the shoot was styled by Abby Bennett and features musician and weaver Rachel Rutt and painter Mason Mulholland as models.
Jones said she was thrilled to join the brand.
“Nique customers have a modern, artistic bent. Aside from working with artists on the day, Cockatoo Island felt like the perfect place as it is one of the more extraordinary and beautiful locations for the Biennale of Sydney, a major platform for art and ideas.
“It’s an honour to be leading a brand with such a distinctive yet everyday look.
“My goal with Nique is to create a stronger vision by building on its minimal and modern DNA, which is somehow reminiscent of both Japanese architecture and street looks.”
Nique is set to open its ninth store on 551 Chapel Street, Melbourne in October.
