Michael Hill has opened its second international store in New York.

As an ongoing commitment to its US expansion the store in Roosevelt Field shopping mall joins the likes of H&M, Armani Exchange, Apple and Bloomingdales with the centre boasting an annual visitor count per annum of 2 million.

It follows the opening of its first New York store in April this year which has reportedly been received well by consumers particularly within the bridal category.

Michael Hill CEO Mike Parsell believes this is just the beginning for the New Zealand-born brand.

“We are thrilled to open in Roosevelt Field and we look forward to introducing even more New Yorkers to our unique and inspiring range.

“It gives us confidence to continue looking for new opportunities”.

The company's second New York opening brings its total retail store count to 302.

Michael Hill was founded in 1979 and has since moved its global headquarters to Brisbane where it manages stores across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US.
