Local jewellery label Majique is taking the next step in a collaboration with one of the most celebrated designers at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) 2012.
The label joined forces with designer Christopher Esber for his highly anticipated MBFWA show earlier this year, to create a one-off accessory.
The piece, titled the 'Christopher Esber for Majique Sword Brace Cuff’, was specially designed for Esber's MBFWA show, and so is yet to hit the Australian market.
However, following rave reviews after the show, both brands have decided to launch the product exclusively to wholesalers.
The debut is set for the Fashion Exposed autumn/winter trade event in August.
The trade exhibition will be the first place retailers will be able to purchase the cuff, which will retail for approximately $100.
Majique director Larry van Balkon said he is pleased with the continuing success of the joint venture.
“After much interest was shown at MBFWA in the 'Christopher Esber for Majique Sword Brace Cuff', I’m so pleased Christopher has decided to extend our collaborative work,” he said.
“We thought Fashion Exposed was the perfect opportunity to introduce this piece to the marketplace as attendees would appreciate the relationship between the two brands. I look forward to a continued working affiliation with Christopher.”
Majique, established in Australia in 2007, has a Sydney-based studio, which works closely with its London design office to produce designs tailored to the Australian market. The brand is currently stocked in a number of stores across Australia and New Zealand.
