Outdoor apparel brand Macpac is set to open a new location in Westfield Bondi Junction this Saturday, showcasing elements from its new brand toolkit.

Macpac MD Cathy Seaholme said the site was created in partnership with a New Zealand-based design firm.

“Our recent successful brand relaunch took the outdoor market by storm. The new brand received numerous accolades, including a prestigious Cannes award for the globally viral television ad.

“Our Bondi Junction store will proudly showcase elements from our new brand toolkit.”

Seaholme confirmed the store is part of a broader retail rollout.

"We are excited to add another store to our expanding network. Our vision is to equip outdoor enthusiasts with the best gear to weather any adventure.”

Macpac total sales increased by 22 per cent to $216 million during fiscal 2023, driven by an increase in travel and outdoor adventure activity following removal of lockdown restrictions.

Like-for like sales increased by 26 per cent in Australia and 20 per cent in New Zealand.

Key travel categories including backpacks, thermals and luggage benefitted from growth in outbound tourism, while favourable weather conditions drove strong sales in insulation and wet weather apparel.

Macpac opened six stores and closed two stores resulting in 89 stores at the close of FY23.
