Designer Kym Lester has launched Unity Fashion, a brand that aims to bring indigenous Australian culture to the forefront of fashion through uniquely designed pieces.

The brand has aligned itself with the luxury market, with scarves starting at $280.

The scarves from this debut line feature black and white photographs of indigenous children, all taken by Melbourne-based psychologist and photographer Gray Radler.

In addition to the scarves, the brand will also be launching a line of Australian merino wool products including scarves and snoods.

All of the products will be hand-knitted in conjunction with the Nundle Woollen Mill.

Part of the proceeds from the retail price are donated to the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation, which assists in changing the future of Australia's indigenous children.

Unity is also one of the few Australian brands to be licensed to carry the Australian Made logo.

Unity products are available now through its online store.
