Global activewear brand Lululemon has just opened a new store in New South Wales, venturing further out of metropolitan Sydney to Castle Towers.
Spanning 398 square metres, the new store is said to represent Lululemon’s ongoing investment in elevated customer experiences and tapping local communities, with management expecting it to create 20 new jobs within the local community.
Most of Lululemon’s stores are situated closer to the CBD and along the coastline. The brand now has 11 stores in New South Wales, and 37 Australia-wide.
Lululemon ANZ VP and managing director, Trevor Holland, said his team’s approach to retail has always been grounded in community, with its stores as more than just places to shop.
“They give us an opportunity to build relationships, understand how our guests love to move and create connections that extend beyond our four walls,” Holland said. “We see a natural alignment with the growing, active community in the Hills District and are excited to start building those meaningful relationships at Castle Towers.”
Located within the centre’s premium retail precinct, Lululemon will join a mix of leading Australian and international fashion and lifestyle brands. Over the last year, the centre has lured in the likes of P.E Nation, Oroton, R.M.Williams and Tommy Hilfiger.
The centre attracts more than 18.6 million visits annually.
According to Lululemon, the Hills District’s growing population, improved connectivity and strong participation in sport, fitness and outdoor recreation make it a natural fit for the brand.
The new store also shares the latest design concept from Lululemon, which include layering warm textures and tones that tap into the brand’s Pacific Northwest origins. The brand’s technical apparel and accessories across yoga, running, training, golf, tennis and everyday lifestyle will be featured.
Alongside product, Castle Towers will also serve as a hub for community programs and events.
