Australian activewear label LSKD will soon open its fourth retail store at Sydney’s Westfield Miranda on March 18, with plans underway to double its store network across Australia and New Zealand.

The target of eight retail locations is said to be inspired by a strong community response at its Chadstone store, which opened October 1 last year. The opening day saw 20,000 visitors, with the first customer reportedly lining up as early as 5:30am for a 9:00am opening.

LSKD also opened in Westfield Chermside, Queensland on December 3, and opened its first flagship HQ store in Loganholme in early 2022.

The new 140sqm Westfield Miranda store is the first set to open in NSW, with Westfield Bondi Junction soon to follow (date TBC).

On the official opening day of its store at Westfield Chermside, LSKD said it recorded more than 300 people waiting to enter before its 8:00am opening.

The brand is continuing its launch day initiative at Westfield Miranda by offering the first 300 females and 300 males who enter the store on opening day can swap their old tights or shorts for a brand new LSKD model.

In alignment with its Project Earth initiative, LSKD will work closely with its charity partner Upparel to recycle or reuse the donated tights they receive.

The brand said it accumulated 91.5 kg of clothing donated at its Chadstone store opening, which they said prevented the emission of 320.3 kg of greenhouse gas pollution.

Founder and CEO Jason Daniel said LSKD’s retail stores provide a tangible touchpoint for its consumer base.

“Something we are really passionate about is the quality of our fabrics,” Daniel said. "We always want to develop high quality performance-driven products for our community and can spend up to 12 months perfecting our fabrics.

“So being able to have our community touch and feel our fabrics in store is really exciting."

The store will house the brand's core styles and latest collections, across sport, fitness and adventure culture.

LSKD (pronounced Loose Kid) is an Australian-owned and operated brand, launched in 2007.
