Australian sporting brand LSKD is set to open its first store in Tasmania later this month.

The new store will open at the Cat and Fiddle Arcade in Hobart on February 28, and brings the brand’s global store count to 30. It is also the first store opening for 2026.

According to LSKD’s website, another two store openings are slated for 2026, including one in Penrith, New South Wales and another in Werribee, Victoria. The brand’s 30 stores globally includes around five in New Zealand and a store in San Diego, California, which also acts as the brand’s US headquarters.

LSKD confirmed that 12 more stores are expected to open in 2026.

“We’re so pumped to be opening our first store for our Hobart community,” founder and CEO Jason Daniel said. “My family has deep roots here. My grandparents built their life in Hobart and my mum was born here, so bringing LSKD to this community means a lot.”

Daniel founded LSKD through BMX freestyle and motocross, where he was given the nickname “loose kid”. The brand shifted into retail in 2022, with LSKD confirming it is now on track to generate over $200 million in sales annually

The 116 square metre Hobart store will stock a range of LSKD’s technical activewear and streetwear, designed to support training, sport, and everyday life. The store will feature its Point to Pinnacle run map, allowing the community to showcase their accomplishments, with space to display names and times and update them annually.

To mark the launch, LSKD will host an exclusive grand opening event, which will include a tights and shorts swap, allowing customers to trade in pre-loved activewear for fresh new LSKD gear, alongside limited-edition Hobart-inspired merchandise available on opening day.

Other special giveaways and “surprises” will be shared on opening day.
