Lovisa has opened its first stores in Canada and Poland, as the jewellery chain continues its global retail rollout.
Lovisa now has close to 600 stores, with over 70% located outside of Australia.
For the half-year ending December 26, Lovisa reported global sales were up 21.5%.
In 2020, the retailer’s global plans accelerated when it acquired the European retail store network of German jewellery wholesaler Beeline.
Lovisa acquired shares in six of the retail entities of the Beeline business across Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Luxembourg, with all continuing stores rebranded to Lovisa.
The acquisition added more than 80 additional stores to Lovisa's global network across the six European countries.
In the first half of fiscal 2022, Lovisa saw a 48.3% lift in revenue to $217.8 million, while comparable store sales increased 21.5% compared to H1 FY21.
Throughout the period, the business continued to invest in its global digital capabilities which resulted in a 36% lift in digital sales.
This included local sites operational in local currency and languages, as well as dedicated online fulfilment warehouses in key markets such as Europe which is serviced through a facility in Poland.
Lovisa CEO Victor Herrero said growth would continue to be on the agenda.
“We are very pleased with the performance for the first half despite the ongoing challenges and disruptions we face globally from COVID.
"The team have performed very well through this period and have the business well positioned for the next phase of growth with the strength of our balance sheet putting us in a great position to take advantage of future opportunities as they arise.”
