Global retailer Lotte Duty Free has completed a year-long revision of its Melbourne International Airport Arrivals store.
The renovations commenced in August 2024, which saw the interior design reimagined by Bates Smart architects and signage by Pigeon Ward.
The 1,600 square metre space crosses two sides of the concourse, with beauty showcased on one side and liquor on the other.
More than 300 brands will feature in the store, including the likes of Chanel, Dior and Lego, as well as self-checkout stations, a tasting bar and lockers for Click & Collect.
Both sides will feature graffiti-inspired artwork from artists such as Steen Jones, Tom Civil, Meggs and George Rose.
“Whether travellers are returning home or visiting, our Melbourne Airport Arrivals store has been designed to put a smile on their faces from the moment they see it,” Lotte Duty Free Oceania managing director Sean lee said. “The store captures the spirit of the city through its laneways and graffiti art, while delivering a seamless shopping experience.”
Melbourne Airport welcomed the completion of Lotte Duty Free’s Arrivals Store refurbishment, following its announcement of a multi-billion-dollar expansion to the international terminal by 2031.
Melbourne Airport chief of retail Jai McDermott said it’s great to see Melbourne highlighted in its Arrivals retail precinct.
“The new Arrivals Duty Free store gives visitors a wonderful welcome to our city before they even step outside the terminal.”
