Loewe has designed a festive window display at David Jones along Elizabeth Street in Sydney.
The window display marks the Spanish-born label’s SS26 pre-collection launch, and draws inspiration from the ceramic cat creations by British artist Louis Wain.
At the centre of the window display, rare Wain-inspired cat figures appear to move through a production line, designed to be look like a roller-coaster. Curving slides intersect throughout the scene, lit up by vivid orange blinking lights that flicker in a custom light sequence.
The window’s background is wrapped in an iridescent, green-tinted finish overlaid with an all-over cat-face motif.
Loewe’s pieces are strategically arranged along the slides and integrated into the cat figures themselves, while the cat figures engage with the animated structure to create a sense of motion and play.
The display is currently running until January 5.
Loewe manages four retail locations across Australia, including a concession store at David Jones Sydney, and three standalone stores in Westfield Sydney, Chadstone in Melbourne and another on Collins Street in Melbourne CBD.
