Up-and-coming brands Rebecca Manning, Suboo and We Are Handsome will make a move on the north American market next month when they take part in the 29th Miami SwimShow.
The annual trade fair will be held this year from July 16 to 19 and longstanding Australian labels Zimmermann, Seafolly and Helen Kaminski will all exhibit.
Taking part for the first time will be Rebecca Manning, showcasing her two-year-old eponymous swim and resortwear label. Manning will travel from Brisbane to Miami with signature styles including high waisted bottoms, digitally printed one pieces and silk-satin, silk-chiffon and silk-cotton kaftans.
Also showing for the first time will be another two-year-old label, We Are Handsome. Founders Jeremy Somers and Indhra Chagoury have secured a sponsored catwalk show at the event to supplement their exhibition of swimwear and apparel.
Meanwhile five-year-old brand Suboo will exhibit its kaftans, beach dresses, beach umbrellas and accessories including shoes and hats to Miami SwimShow's 2000 plus buyers. The label is looking to pick up US accounts to add to its 100 plus stockists in Australia and 30 plus doors in Japan.
Returning to exhibit for at least their second time will be Australian brands Kooey, Seventh Wonderland and Lisa Blue. Surf brands Billabong and Rip Curl will also have a presence.
Miami SwimShow is organised by the Swimwear Association of Florida and is the largest trade show of its kind, attracting visitors from over 50 countries. This year the fair will be held alongside Lingerie Show, a new initiative from the SwimShow organisers.
