Iconic designer Lisa Ho is back.
Myer has confirmed it will launch a new line designed by Ho – titled L by Lisa Ho – via its national store network and online from August 20.
The tie-up marks Ho's return to the industry, following the collapse of her empire last year.
The resurgence also follows a law suit filed by Ho in the Federal Court against her former friend and one-time lender Hamish McLaren.
According to legal documents, Ho, through her superannuation fund, is suing McLaren after he allegedly failed to return $850,000 she invested with him.
Ho lost her company to administration in May 2013, but managed to salvage her intellectual property from the wreckage.
Myer CEO Bernie Brookes said he welcomes Ho's collection to the company's fashion fold.
“We are delighted to have recently reached agreement with Lisa Ho to design a ready-to-wear range for Myer, L by Lisa Ho. This range will be exclusive to Myer and is a great addition to our strong Australian and International designer offering.”
According to recent reports, the brand is scheduled to make its debut on the runway at Myer's spring summer fashions collections launch in Sydney in August.
The range is expected to include pieces which are more casual and at a lower price point than Ho's signature evening wear garments from her main line.
