Josh Goot is still scheduled to take part in the designer lineup for Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Goot's business entered into administration on Monday.

However, Goot is slated to join more than 100 designers at the festival next month.

Designers such as Dion Lee, Camilla and Scanlan Theodore will be among those participating in some 20 scheduled events.

The nine-day program is expecting around 300,000 visitors across its extensive range of events, which as well as fashion include arts and culture.

The festival will also continue to feature its innovative 'Shop the Runway' technology, which allows consumers to support local designers both in their retail and online businesses.

It could be a huge success this year considering the festival has connected with 600,000 unique users in its virtual community over the past year.

Festival chief Graeme Lewsey said there has been an emphasis on interactivity in organising this year's events.

Emerging designers will also be given their time in the spotlight with 'Future Runway' presented by Spotlight as a platform for secondary school students and the renowned National Graduate Showcase presented by Target.
