Danish eyewear brand Lindberg has partnered with a scaling local retailer called The Eye Piece to help launch its first-ever physical space in Australia.
At its 200 George Street, Sydney store, The Eye Piece has added a concession store for Lindberg, a separate area focused on the Danish brand.
The concession-like store’s interior and furnishings are entirely designed in-house by Lindberg. This includes ‘Tailormade 2.0’ cabinets in white and smoked oak, which display the full eyewear portfolio. The store also includes a custom art piece exclusive to the Sydney store, crafted from brown brass, and which extends from the wall, casting the word “design” in an abstract form.
The space also includes a corner area that houses the brand’s high-end designs, which also acts as a clienteling space.
The whole store, including The Eye Piece’s own space, has large floor-to-ceiling windows covering two sides. The Eye Piece’s other key brands sold in the store include Moscot, Maui Jim, Tom Ford and Chanel.
Lindberg was founded in 1986 by Henrik Lindberg and Poul-Jørn Lindberg. Today, the brand is part of the Kering Eyewear Group.
The Eye Piece, meanwhile, was founded in 2007 and currently operates five retail locations across Sydney.
