Australian fashion brand Lee Mathews has transformed its Melbourne Archive store into a pop-up retail space to promote the launch of Julia Busuttil Nishimura’s new cookbook ‘Around the Table’.
Among new fashion styles by Lee Mathews, the store combines food, art, furniture and fashion, with books, ceramics, homewares and limited-edition pieces from local makers such as Mud Australia, The Soda Fountain, Gidon Bing, and Baina.
All pieces will be available to purchase in-store throughout the month of August.
Created especially for the Gertrude Street store and inspired by Nishimura’s wardrobe, Lee Mathews has designed a limited-edition capsule collection made from re-purposed archive fabrics in prominent styles from past seasons.
The collection will be exclusive to its Gertrude St Residency store and will be available to purchase alongside one-off samples and archive pieces from Lee Mathews.
Gertrude St will also be showing works by emerging artists, Michelle Ball and Ella Mittas from online gallery ‘Sunday Salon’, with all pieces available to purchase.
The pop-up transformation will officially open its doors on Friday August 19 at midday. Nishimura will also be in store on Saturday August 20 at 10am for a signing of her new book.
Lee Mathews owns and operates five stores across the east coast of Australia, with a range of stockists both locally and abroad.
