Australian-born fashion brand Lee Mathews is continuing its sustainability journey by launching into resale in partnership with fashion recommerce platform Swop.
Under the new partnership, eligible garments can be submitted through Swop for assessment and authentication before being offered for resale.
Swop sells a range of second-hand designer brand pieces, including from the likes of Chanel, Jacquemus, Louis Vuitton and Moncler. As well as an online platform, Swop also manages four retail locations, including Fortitude Valley in Brisbane, Sydney’s Darlinghurst, and both South Melbourne and Collingwood in Victoria.
Swop curates its ranges by paying for vintage or on-trend pieces that are dropped off to each of its stores. Customers whose items are accepted can choose from a range of reward options, including Lee Mathews store credit.
Swop offers 50 per cent in-store credit or 30 per cent in cash (40 per cent over $249). Or customers can keep their items, or donate to Swop’s charity partners.
According to Lee Mathews, the partnership reflects a shared belief that quality clothing should remain in use for as long as possible.
Born in 1999, Lee Mathews operates an online website and sells through five stores across the east coast of Australia. The brand also has a small range of boutique stockists locally and globally.
