Australian e-commerce destination Lasoo has joined forces with a global power player as it continues to expand its empire.
The shopping and catalogue aggregator, owned by Salmat, has partnered with Ebay's advertising network business Ebay Commerce Network (ECN) to become the premium publisher within the network.
The deal will see merchants that advertise with ECN now gain access to the millions of customers that visit Lasoo.com.au every month, including merchant customers such as Kogan, The Iconic, oo.com.au and CrazySales.com.au.
ECN is currently the only advertising network that allows merchants to engage consumers on Ebay and other websites in a single campaign. It brings together 8,000 merchants and 2,000 publishers to provide access to 250 million consumers globally.
Shopping.com, re-branded as the ECN in April 2013, has since been steadily building its merchant partnerships on the strength of its expanding advertising network.
Commenting the tie-up, Lasoo executive general manager Dom Finnegan said partnering with the ECN will also see Lasoo will broaden its portfolio of online retailers to include international brands, complementing the thousands of catalogue deals from retailers such as Target, BIG W and Aldi, already on the website.
“More and more Australians are using the internet to not only buy online but influence the purchasing decisions they make in-store and on their mobiles,” Finnegan said.
“Lasoo’s partnership with the eBay Commerce Network will provide Australian shoppers with a richer, more interactive shopping experience online, helping them discover and research a wider range of products and services from leading local and international retailers.”
Established in 2007, Lasoo provides a single platform to search, sort and locate products for sale from retailers including Myer, Big W & Target, online and on mobile.
The site is also available on mobile (m.lasoo.com.au), iPhone, iPad, Windows7 and Android.
