Harbour Town Premium Outlets has launched the state’s first ‘super-sized’ outlet store.
Six international brands will join the Adelaide retail concept including Lacoste, The North Face, Nautica, Gap, Ben Sherman and Ellesse.
All brands will be available within the one outlet store, Harbour Town Premium Outlets Adelaide regional marketing manager Tanya Demaria confirmed.
“Harbour Town’s premium brand focus is the key factor to our retail success and reflects the centre’s major point of difference in the local South Australian market,” Demaria said.
“As the cost-of-living bites, more and more shoppers are tapping into the fact that premium outlet shopping can provide them with significant savings of up to 70 per cent off recommended retail prices all year-round.
“We are shopping smarter and shifting away from accepting that you have to pay full price for items.”
Premium brands are designing specifically for outlet, including items manufactured from 100% silk, wool, linen, cotton, cashmere and leather.
Demaria said the site's location, next to Adelaide Airport, has seen growing demand from international brands.
“This is reflective of our ongoing low vacancy rate which is currently at zero per cent of lettable space available at the centre,” Demaria said. “We even have a waiting list of other premium national and international brands who are knocking on our door and very keen to join us.”
True Alliance brand outlet retail operations manager Anna Bretterecker said competitive price points are a drawcard for consumers.
“We are all incredibly budget conscious, particularly at the moment, and outlet shopping is really hitting the mark, making premium wardrobe items more affordable,” Bretterecker said.
Harbour Town operates 120 outlet stores and recently undertook a $5.4 million upgrade.
As well as international brands, Harbour Town houses Australian-born brands such as R.M. Williams, Mimco, Witchery, Review, Nine West and Lorna Jane.
