Ksubi co-founder Dan Single has found new life since leaving the controversial brand last year.
Single has signed an exclusive deal with General Pants to design a solo menswear line, DAAN.
DAAN is targeted at the youth market with influences spanning fashion, music and art.
Single said DAAN is an alter ego of the fashion designer he has "always wanted to be".
"I left Ksubi early in the year to gain adventure and inspiration and all I could think about was creating clothes."
General Pants CEO Craig King said the company will continue to form alliances with local talent.
"There is a lot of competition in the Australian retail market currently, and with more fast fashion international brands arriving on our shores in the next 18 months, great design and a differentiated product is crucial to our success going forward," he said.
There will be a limited pre-release of the new line in May, followed by a spring/summer collection launch in July.
Ksubi was placed into liquidation in 2010, before finding new life under streetwear manufacturer Bleach.
Both Single and co-founder George Gorrow left the brand last year.
