Australian-born, global cult label Ksubi has just debuted its first-ever swim collection called Kswim.
The range covers six different bikini sets, including halterneck tops and balconette bikinis. Some styles have also been designed to be reversible, with each featuring custom prints, contrast tobacco stitching, T-box and SOTT branding.
According to Ksubi, the Kswim range is designed to complement its key denim ranges, and has been launched to market through a campaign shot by Byron Spencer and starring Bondi model Casey James.
Creative director Pip Edwards said Kswim feels like a natural progression for Ksubi.
“That Bondi summer lifestyle and Ksubi’s OG surf-punk DNA are intrinsically linked,” Edwards explained. “Denim and swim are the quintessential Australian summer uniform.
“This category adds another layer to Ksubi's story and styling. Swim is not just functional; it taps into the culture of our community and stands as a fashion statement in its own right — woven seamlessly into the Ksubi attitude: irreverent, bold and unmistakably Ksubi.”
The Kswim launch follows Edwards’ recent collaboration with Australian brand Bond-Eye Swim in September this year, which was the first time Edwards’ name was featured on clothing tags.
That Bond-Eye collab included 28 swim pieces alongside 12 ready-to-wear pieces across mesh, silk and recycled nylon fabrics. Five pieces in the range sold out within days of launch.
The six Kswim styles have launched across Ksubi online and at its Bondi, Melbourne and Miami stores.
