Australian-owned fashion retailer Kookai is set to unleash its spring/summer 2019 collection in Sydney tonight.
The brand has significantly expanded since it acquired the global business in 2017.
It now spans a second head office in Paris, over 200 retail outlets throughout Europe and distributors across the world.
Global branding officer Bianca Vagner-Cromb said the Bonita spring/summer collection has been created by its Melbourne-based design team.
Inspired by the Spanish island of Mallorca, it features one shoulder designs, shirring and matching sets in rich tones of melon lilac, fuchsia and pops of white.
"Over the last few years our collection has really matured and changed a lot from what it used to be when Kookai began," Vagner-Cromb said.
"We were very well known as a brand for having incredible basics which was really the core of the Kookai collection and what our customer came to us for, but over the last five years our fashion has really changed and taken over our basics collection, and I think now the brand has grown and matured with our customer.
"Because of this, our buyers have started buying much higher in our fashion styles than basics as our fashion is flying out the door which has been an incredible change to see."
The brand drops new designs weekly into stores, with between 50-60 new styles and colourways.
The new collection will launch via a VIP event featuring 150 guests in Sydney this evening.
