Sydney-based underwear company Modibodi is setting out to provide relief – in more than one way.

The brand has announced that its partnership with the Days for Girls charity and will be donating a feminine hygiene kit to women in need for every Modibodi purchase over $100.

The concentration of these kits will be distributed in Australia and Papua New Guinea as well as surrounding countries.

The underwear company has broken into the market with its range of underwear that aims to replace the need for panty liners using patented leak-proof Modifer Air Technology.

The brand's founder Kristy Chong believes it can offer assistance to the reported one in three women who experience light bladder leakage and 50 per cent of women who experience menstrual overflow.

“While out running one day I realised my underwear might look nice, but it was failing to protect me against sweat and occasional bladder weakness.

“I spoke to family and friends and found I wasn’t alone in my frustrations with the options available.

“I felt women deserved a ‘better’ line of underwear.

“Better for women - Modibodi underwear empowers and liberates women by making them feel comfortable and carefree, and better for the environment by preventing disposable liners and breast pads from ending up in landfill.”

The Modibodi range also features eco-friendly sports bras made from bamboo jersey and maternity breastfeeding singlets designed to absorb leakages.

Collections include classic, sensual, active, smooth, maternity and curvy.

Prices range from $19.50 to $69.50.
