Why is Kmart Australia managing director Guy Russo riding off?
Russo joined The Salvation Army's Dr Bruce Redman at the official launch of its Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal in Melbourne this week.
Dr. Redman joined Kmart team members at the outdoor launch which included a cycling installation.
The installation was inspired by the 2014 Appeal focus: ‘everyone has the power to make Christmas brighter for those who are doing it tough’.
Now in its 27th year, the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal aims to assist 300,000 people in need in partnership with The Salvation Army.
Kmart managing director Guy Russo said he was proud of the long-standing history of the Appeal.
"The longevity of this Appeal is testament to the Aussie spirit of supporting each other, especially at Christmas time. But we know that people are so busy, so we want to make it as easy as possible to donate – be it with a gift, online or while they are going through a register," he said.
