Outdoor apparel retailer Kathmandu is projecting 20% growth in its first-half profits for 2018.
In a release to the market, the retailer stated its NPAT would for 1H FY2018 will be no less than $12 million, compared to $10 million in 1H FY2017.
Total sales for 1H FY2018 will be approximately $204 million compared to $196.3 million for the comparative prior period.
Kathmandu CEO Xavier Simonet said the strong projections were due to the company converting on the key retail trading periods.
“Striking the right balance in the key Christmas trading period between generating sales growth and improving our gross margin has fuelled healthy earnings growth.
"We have also continued to strengthen our balance sheet position during the first half."
