New Zealand adventure apparel retailer Kathmandu has revealed an executive shake-up as it prepares to expand its empire.
The company has confirmed changes to its executive team structure, with executive director Mark Todd – the company’s current CFO – appointed to the newly created position of chief operating officer.
Kathmandu chairman David Kirk said the move is part of a realignment strategy set to enhance “leadership team capability to support planned future expansion across Australasia and internationally”.
He added that Todd will continue with his CFO responsibilities. Todd now also has oversight of Kathmandu’s key business transformation projects, associated with the company’s rollout of the Microsoft Dynamics AX retail platform.
This is in addition to his existing role leading the company's management teams across the finance, supply chain, store and property leasing and store development functions.
Kathmandu said the appointment has also initiated changes down the line. These include:
- Kathmandu’s general manager finance, Reuben Casey will take over as company secretary from Mark Todd on August 1 this year;
- The reporting line and seniority for Kathmandu’s general manager human resources position has been re-aligned.
- Rebecca Edwards previously reported to the CFO. She now will join the Kathmandu executive team and will report directly to chief executive officer, Peter Halkett.
