Kathmandu Holdings has appointed Abigail Foote (Abby) as a Director of the Company, effective today, October 15.
Foote is a professional director and brings over 12 years of governance experience to Kathmandu Holdings.
She has qualifications in law and accounting and throughout her career she has held roles focusing on corporate finance, treasury and commercial transactions.
Foote currently serves on the boards of Z Energy Limited, Sanford Limited and Freightways Limited and has previously held governance roles at TVNZ, Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Transpower New Zealand, Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) and the New Zealand Local Government Funding Agency (LGFA).
In a statement, Kathmandu Holdings said Foote's appointment forms part of its broader leadership strategy.
"[We] recently announced, as part of our strategy, a focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) leadership and we are pleased to increase our knowledge and capability in ESG governance with Abby’s experience.
"As required by our constitution and the NZX Listing Rules, Abby will hold office until the next annual shareholder’s meeting, at which time she will resign and stand for election," the business said.
The Board have determined that Foote is an independent director of the Company.
