July has been signed as the official luggage supplier of the Australian Olympic Team for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

The travel brand has commenced designing and producing official luggage for up to 480 Australian team members.

Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) CEO Matt Carroll confirmed the partnership.

“Receiving their Australian Olympic Team bag, emblazoned with the Australian Olympic crest, is a special moment for Australian athletes,” Carroll said.

“July have already shown their experience at bringing outstanding Australian design and luggage solutions to the world – so we are thrilled July will be providing Australian athletes with world-class luggage to support their Olympic campaigns.

“Thank you to July for supporting Australian Olympians - we look forward to working with the whole July team as we head towards Paris 2024 and Milan-Cortina 2026.”

July co-founder and CEO Richard Li said the deal was significant for a brand in its infancy.

"Teaming up with the Australian Olympic Team signifies a coming-of-age moment for our four-year-old brand,” Li said.

“The unique connection with a partner that champions both tradition and the ascent of new talent is truly special.

“We can’t wait to support our finest athletes as they embark on global journeys, equipped with the finest luggage in tow."

The Australian Olympic Team luggage design will be released in 2024.

This latest deal follows another struck with Virgin Australia and Visit Victoria in July this year.

July, which counts Lachlan Murdoch's family office Illyria as investor, was founded in 2019 in Melbourne.

Today, the brand operates six stores in Australia and one in New York, USA. The brand is also stocked in 15 stores across Asia - including Singapore and China - and is stocked exclusively at Selfridges in the United Kingdom.
