Josh Goot has opened up about surviving the throes of voluntary administration.
Goot spoke to ragtrader.com.au before his comeback show at Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival yesterday.
A Deed of Company Arrangement has allowed the designer to retain ownership of his business, after administrators were appointed last month.
"We worked closely and quickly with administrators on issues with the business," Goot said.
"Without going into detail, there were issues across the board."
"This has been a huge learning curve for me.
"It allowed me to lift information out of the business and learn what I was doing wrong.
"The biggest lesson has been around process and procedure.
"When analysis is inadequate or inaccurate, the business becomes self-defeating."
Goot said a number of changes will be made to the business, with a focus on timeline management.
"Management becomes challenging when the business is so seasonal.
"The demand of retail and wholesale markets is so demanding that it's important we manage that timeline effectively."
