Jets creative director Rachel Allen talks through the new collection. Jets is creating its swimwear with sustainable materials – what sustainable attributes does the new collection have?
We are so thrilled that a majority of the styles in our new collection are made from fabrics crafted with 100% regenerated nylon, derived from both pre and post-industrial waste.
This innovative regeneration process transforms waste such as discarded fishing nets, carpet and tulle and re-purposes them to create luxurious, body-contouring fabrics.
Our partner fabric mills in Europe manufacture the highest-quality fabrics whilst utilising more sustainable practices including reduced water waste, energy efficiency and reduced emissions.
Our timeless contemporary approach to design along with our premium fabrics mean our products will remain in our customers wardrobe for years to come and not in landfill.
Please describe the design process – what factors are considered when designing a new range?
Our Jets consumer is always the at the fore throughout the design process.
This season we want to take her on a journey to exotic destinations during a time where travel is limited.
For this I drew inspiration from the ancient silk route, Bedouin textiles and vibrant tones of Moroccan spices.
We carefully curated the collection to include a combination of elevated textile designs as well as classic paired back colours, showcased in our contemporary Jets silhouettes.
In all of ours designs we consider elevated detailing and hidden support features our customers have come to expect from Jets products.
Our collection of fashion stories combined with our core Jetset range offer the variety a modern woman needs for her foundational warm weather wardrobe.
How will this collection be communicated to customers? Which channels will be used?
This season we have a heavy investment in digital channels to reach our customers in a variety of online settings.
This fluid medium will allow us to continually showcase our latest fashion stories as they drop throughout the season.
We are also thrilled to be showcasing our latest collection in the Brisbane Fashion Festival this August.
