JD Sports has made its first foray into the NSW market, following the successful launch of its Victorian and Queensland stores.
Located at Westfield Parramatta, the 400sqm space now offers a range of leading global brands including Nike, Adidas, Lacoste, Reebok, Ellesse and The North Face.
A-League football team, the Western Sydney Wanderers, was present for the launch.
The opening also featured a Crep Protect sneaker cleaning station, an in-store DJ, street dancers and custom JD Sports tote bags.
JD Sports Australia head Hilton Seskin said the launch will capitalise on the brand's recent success in Melbourne, which was one of the largest launches within the business.
“The highly anticipated JD Sports Parramatta launch attracted sneakerheads on mass, following the success of Melbourne Central’s flagship store, which went down as one of the largest launch days of any international territory within the JD Sports business.”
The store is situated on level 3, alongside other global retailers including Nike and Zara.
The product offering will include a wide range of footwear and apparel for men, women and children from performance to lifestyle.
The store opened on July 13 and offered one consumer a year's worth of footwear.
