JD Sports has commenced a recruitment drive, as it prepares to launch in Australia in early 2017.
The retailer has commenced advertising for multiple front of house and back-end roles.
This includes sales assistants, visual merchandisers, assistant managers, back of house admin, social media experts and customer service team leaders.
The advertised positions are concentrated in Sydney and Gold Coast.
Parent company JD Sports Fashion Plc acquired Next Athleisure last year.
Next Athleisure operates Glue, Super Glue and has the exclusive rights to sell Miss Selfridge in Australia.
On August 26, subsidiary JD Sports Fashion Holdings Australia Pty acquired 80% of the issued ordinary share capital of Next Athleisure Pty Limited.
The acquisition was for consideration of $6.6 million AUD.
Next Athleisure Pty Limited operates 32 stores and a trading website in Australia under the Glue and Superglue retail banners.
"This business and its management will provide the platform to open JD in Australia," the company said at the time.
