Sydney's about to find out that all good things come in threes.
Japanese lifestyle retailer MUJI is opening its first flagship Sydney store at The Galeries, joining the ranks of Chadstone Shopping Centre and Emporium Melbourne
A range of consumer goods including men's, women's and children's apparel will be available alongside furniture, homewares, skincare, stationary, bedding and travel goods.
Ipoh Management Services general manager, Victor Gaspar, believes it will create a strong link to the chain of boutiques currently operating in the centre.
"The much anticipated flagship Sydney store reinforces The Galeries' ongoing pursuit of a unique, world-class cultural offering. This is the first of a number of new openings planned at The Galeries this year, which promises to enhance the unique retail experience already offered to our customers."
MUJI Australia's managing director, Takuo Nagahara, said that Australian consumers have given positive feedback to the company's presence in the market.
"We look forward to further developing and sharing our brand concept and activities with people across Australia."
The opening on May 14th will see a number of special offers roll out throughout the store, as well as limited edition gifts with purchases.
MUJI launched in 1980 as a small retailer offering around 40 products. It now operates a total of 703 stores globally, with plans to launch an online store in the future.
The company has also revealed that it plans to expand further in Australia, although no locations have been announced.
