UK luxury accessories brand Dents has launched a wholesale online ordering system for Australian fashion boutiques.
The brand has been supplying the Australian market since 1854.
It is also sold in premium department stores globally including Selfridges, Harrods, House of Fraser, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
Dents Australia MD Livia Michelini said the new system is perfectly suited to the local market.
"Our distances are enormous compared to other countries and it’s difficult and costly for sales reps to visit customers often.
"With our new B2B, we can provide our wholesale customers instant access to our global warehouse, where they can instantly see available stock quantities, access their order histories and download marketing tools.
"Of course, they still have the benefit of consulting our sales staff and viewing samples in person, but this is an empowering system for retailers to make product and purchase decisions."
The Dents B2B wholesale site is managed completely in-house and connects the customer directly with the Dents’ warehouse and inventory system.
Stock is updated in virtually real time and orders are checked by sales staff, with dispatch in as little as 24 hours.
Product can be delivered between 3 to 5 days to Australian capital cities.
Dents global chief executive Deborah Moore said this is a first for the business.
"Australian customers are savvy buyers and understand technology, which is why we are launching our B2B in Australia before our other export markets."
