Target Australia's next store will be part of a steady roll out of new generation sites.
The new Eastland store will open on October 29 in Melbourne’s far-eastern suburbs, joining a bevy of local and international retailers as part of the Centre’s redevelopment.
The new Target Eastland forms part of retail giant’s delivery of next generation stores, intended to enhance the customer shopping experience nationwide.
The next generation store boasts a range of new features, including personal shopping sessions, a t-shirt printing station, an alteration service, an in-store café and a kid’s play zone.
Target MD Stuart Machin believes the next generation Eastland store will attract customers with its easy-to-use facilities and new season product.
“We’re thrilled to be opening the doors at our new Target Eastland store. We operate in an era where shoppers are increasingly time poor, so it’s crucial that we make the shopping experience more seamless and enjoyable than ever.
“We’re integrating the best of customer service with new digital advancements. For example, customers can shop online and pick up items in store with our click and collect service. They can also enjoy one-on-one sessions with our personal shoppers in-store. There truly is something for everyone.
“The new Eastland Target store exemplifies everything our next generation stores are about. It offers everything, from an in-store café to a t-shirt printing station – to ensure customers are having a positive experience in store,” said Machin.
The next generation Target Eastland store will be launched in phase one of Eastland’s $665m redevelopment, which will transform the Ringwood precinct into a shopping mecca for residents.
“Eastland’s redevelopment will see the area become a key shopping destination for Melbournians in the far eastern suburbs, and we’re incredibly excited to be part of the mix of both Australian and international retailers to open in the precinct,” Machin said.
