Which Australian fashion retailers are going global in 2014?

Cotton On plans to open stores in Vietnam, Brazil, Panama, Columbia and Venezuela this year after a global rollout which has seen its footprint stretch to 1334 stores.

The fast fashion chain currently operates stores in 14 countries, with plans to open up to 250 sites this year.

Ragtrader first reported on Cotton On's South American rollout strategy after its spring/summer 2013 showcase last year.

Meanwhile, accessories chain Colette By Colette Hayman will open in Bombay this month followed by Cape Town in February.

The retailer opened its first store in Singapore late last year.

In September, Ragtrader revealed the brand would expand internationally into 17 new territories through franchise partnerships and wholly-owned stores.

These new territories include UK, US, South East Asia, Middle East India and South Africa.

Founded by Mark and Colette Hayman, who also launched Diva, Colette By Colette Hayman has already expanded to almost 100 stores in three years.
