Canada Goose has hosted its first micro-expedition in the Asia Pacific region, taking guests to Karijini National Park in the remote Pilbara region of Western Australia for a four-day Local Expedition.
The activation ran under the brand's Natural Intelligence platform, which frames nature as the world's oldest operating system and centres on knowledge gained through direct contact with the natural world. The platform is delivered through a Natural Calendar of moments timed to solstices, celestial events and seasonal shifts across the year.
Karijini was selected for what the brand describes as its structural memory, with the park's fractured rock capturing scarce water, filtering it through deep time and channelling it into underground sanctuaries that sustain permanent freshwater pools in a desert environment.
Guests were guided by local experts through Joffre Gorge at sunset, followed by the iron-rich gorges of Weano, Hancock and Knox, home to rock formations more than 2.5 billion years old. The itinerary included the park's connection to the Banjima, Guruma and Yinhawangka Peoples, and concluded with a guided exploration of Dales Gorge and a dinner under the stars. Attendees included Brandon Kilgour, Violet Grace Atkinson and Hadwin Diao.
The expedition doubled as a product showcase, spanning both the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter 2026 collections. With the Southern Hemisphere moving into cooler months, the range ran from lightweight breathable layers through to protective outerwear engineered for the elements.
Karijini follows the Summer Solstice and Acqua di San Giovanni activation in Piteglio, Italy, and the Haida Gwaii Experience in British Columbia, Canada, in the 2026 Natural Calendar series.
