The Textile, Clothing and Footwear Resource Centre of Western Australia (TCFWA) has announced its new chairperson.
Sportslane general manager Irving Lane will replace Jules Lewin and front the not-for-profit support centre for the industry.
Belmont BEC CEO Carol Hanlon said that over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry made Lane a worthy candidate for the position.
“I would like to formally congratulate Irving Lane on his appointment to Chair of the TCFWA committee (which also includes TCF Australia and TCF Global).
“I am so pleased that Irving has been elected Chair.
“Irving has been a great supporter of fashion for over 25 years and Sportslane when operating used to stock my own fashion label I designed and manufactured in Geelong, Victoria in 1980’s.
“Also on behalf of all the TCFWA Committee, and Staff, I would like to sincerely thank Jules Lewin for his great contribution over the past years as Chair of TCFWA.”
Lane has worked as a manger, buyer and general manager in the industry before becoming a member of the TCFWA Committee in 2012.
