Industry funds local talent

Laureate Australia has announced the four recipients of the 'Greatest Degree on Earth' with Torrens University and Think colleges.

The initiative will see recipients undertake scholarships tailored to industry specific learnings across business, design, health and hospitality.

Leah-Jane Musch has been revealed as the recipient in the design category and will undergo training at the Billy Blue College of Design.

Musch will look to travel to developing nations to work with garment companies and gain experience in the structures and processes behind clothing manufacturing.

In addition she will also set out to be mentored by an overseas sustainable fashion label founder, develop skills in sewing, CAD/CAM technology and aim to launch a sustainable and ethical fashion brand.

The four 'Great Degree on Earth' recipients will receive full funding from the tertiary insitutions totalling up to $80,000.
