The Textile, Clothing and Footwear Resource Centre of Western Australia Inc (TCFWA), TCF Australia and the Belmont Business Enterprise Centre (Belmont BEC) have teamed to offer buying missions to the Tex-Trends India trade fair next year.
The opportunity, open to Australian and international fashion designers, retailers and manufacturers, offers airfare and accommodation sponsorship for a buying mission to Tex-Trends India, New Delhi, from January 19 to 21, 2012.
The Tex-Trends India 2012 event will showcase fashion, textiles and accessories, with the fair showcasing an array of designs from over 400 local export houses.
According to Carol Hanlon, CEO of Belmont BEC, TCFWA, and TCF Australia, the buying missions will be best suited to established firms, such as retailers looking to source and import ready-made fashion and accessories, and manufacturers or buying agents looking to source new manufacturers and suppliers. Designers looking to source CMT factories for women’s, men’s and childrenswear to manufacture off shore in India will also benefit.
“The opportunity to attend Tex-Trends India is a fantastic opportunity for Australian businesses, and we look forward to discovering India’s apparels and textiles with the group,” Hanlon said.
To be considered for airfare and accommodation sponsorship, interested applicants must forward an outline of their 'genuine fashion' and TCFL business sourcing requirements and their label business background or retail/buying agents to info@tcfaustralia.com.
